Real horse mane hair

This ornament is used on some long weapons, mainly on spears, it is made with long fibers made of genuine horsehair. This decorative element has to be placed around the lower part of the spear tip, between the stick and the iron head so it doesn’t move. It is made real horse mane hair. It is used in traditional and modern practice. Today, it is only used for a decorative purpose. But formerly, its purpose was to distract the opponent by preventing its glance from focusing on the weapon tip.
